Nature During the Time of Covid began as a way to stay busy during my "break" from school.  The weather was amazing and I was determined to spend as much time as possible outdoors and away from people.  Each day I'd strike out with my camera outfitted with only a macro lens to explore the roadside, ditches, fence lines, fields, woods, and ponds surrounding my home.  At the end of my day I'd share one or two photos via social media.  Many of my images may not be perfect but they are an authentic representation of the abundance of flora and fauna growing in my area.
Little did I know that my 10 day wildflower project would last more than 100 days and evolve into something much.  I have learned a great deal about the plant life of my area, gained a many new friends that I may never meet in person, and discovered that nature offers much beauty and joy even during the worst of times.
*Plant identifications were made to the best of my ability.  I used iNaturalist.com to help apply labels.  There is no guarantee that identifications are completely correct.
